DRIVERS

Driver Job Description:

Driving paying clients in long wheel based minibuses on European alpine roads in a timely, safe and considerate manner. We are based in Morzine, France, and operate transfers between Geneva Airport (occasionally other airports/destinations) to various ski resorts in the Portes du Soleil and Grand Massif ski areas (occasionally other resorts).

Additional Job Roles:

·         Working and driving in winter conditions (cold, snow, ice etc).

·         Looking after, cleaning and maintaining your allotted company vehicle.

·         Working within a team in an ever changing schedule.

·         Loading and unloading of clients luggage from vehicles.

·         Working some ‘unsocial’ hours.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

·         Full (preferably clean) UK or EU driver’s licence held for a minimum of 4 years.

·         Must be over 23 years old.

·         Have a British or EU Passport or have all the relevant visa/work permits.

·         Must be eligible to work in France for the required amount of time.

·         English speaking (some French language knowledge is useful but not essential).

·         Experience of driving larger vehicles.

Qualities Needed:

·         Punctual, reliable and flexible.

·         Excellent communication skills with high level of customer service.

·         Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to use own initiative.

·         Mature, tolerant and hard working attitude.

·         Respond well to directives and adapt well to changeable circumstances.

·         Calm, organised, efficient and able to work under pressure.

·         Looking smart and aware of personal hygiene.

We provide a week of training before candidates can drive paying clients. This includes an alpine driving awareness and safety course which must be successfully completed. This is paid for by the company. All candidates must attend and complete the course before contracts begin.

The PowderCab office is in central Morzine, and therefore all candidates need to base themselves here for the full winter season (start of Dec ’11 – end of April ’12). Please be advised, that successful candidates will be on a French salaried seasonal contract, therefore we do not provide accommodation or lift passes. However we are willing to assist with your accommodation search in Morzine.
