(Please read thoroughly) PowderCab Terms and Conditions (09/10) for Geneva Airport Transfers to Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets, Samoens, Morillon and other French Ski Resorts / Airports: 1) Payment: At the time of online booking we require full payment. We use a secure online payment system (Paypal) however you do not need a paypal account to pay, simply a card with which to pay. You can also pay via a Euro cheque (made payable to PowderCab) but this must be sent at the time of booking confirmation and cleared before you travel. If you would like to pay by card over the phone please do contact us directly and we can accept VISA and MasterCard. It is possible to make part payment and clients must contact us directly for this to happen (the remainder of the full amount will be taken with cash upon arrival into resort. If you then decide to pay the remainder with your card an administration charge of 5Euros will be added per transaction). 2) Online Bookings: All online bookings must be made 72 hours before your travel times. After this time please contact us directly (via email or phone) and we can check our last minute availability, book you in and take secure payment over the phone. If you make a booking online within 72 hours we may not have availability for your transfer and will therefore not be able to transport you (please read the 'Online Booking Confirmation' section below). Online bookings can only be made when your transfers are between 18th December '09 and 18th April '10 - outside of these seasonal dates please contact us directly for our pre and post seasonal availability. 3) Online Booking Confirmation: After you have entered your details and paid for your transfer online PowderCab will contact you using the email address you have provided to acknowledge successful payment acceptance. We will then confirm availability of this booking within 24hours with your confirmed booking reference number using the email address provided by you. If you do not receive this confirmation email you are not booked in so you must please contact us, or if you have any queries. (Make sure you enter a valid email address and please check your inbox and also your junk folder for your booking confirmation email). 4) Online Booking Details: When entering your personal and transfer details please be accurate with these details. Once they have been entered they cannot be changed and are automatically sent to our scheduling system. If dates, times or other details have been entered with errors, charges will be incurred up to the full amount of a new transfer. If you notice you have made an error let us know with as much notice as possible and these charges may be reduced or quashed. If your contact details are entered incorrectly, meaning we cannot contact you, it is possible that your transfer will not be honoured and you will not be refunded - it is your responsibility to ensure you have received confirmation from PowderCab (as your transfer is not guaranteed until we have confirmed availability for your transfer within 24hours of your payment). 5) Details, Contact and Communication. The accuracy of all booking details given to PowderCab are the responsibility of the party leader including the contact mobile phone number given at time of booking which will be: a) the same as the one to be used during their stay and b) is able to be used abroad. Arrival at airport: PowderCab clients will contact us either by text or phone call when they know their flight is departing on time including the 'Party Leader Name' and confirmed 'Booking Reference Number' (if flights are delayed the party leader will keep PowderCab updated with the new expected time of arrival). In Resort: Although PowderCab has very good knowledge of local resorts it is the party leaders' responsibility to have an accurate address and detailed directions to their accommodation or pick up/drop off point. Return Transfer (from resort to airport): When PowderCab send you an SMS with transfer information you must reply to the number provided to confirm details as soon as possible and before 18:00 the previous day. The party leader will text or phone PowderCab to confirm the time and departure point between 09:00 and 17:00 the previous day to their transfer in reply to PowderCabs contact. At the time of booking you must send PowderCab exact transfer details. We need to know: - Party leader name & number of people in your party.
- Party leader email address.
- Party leader mobile phone (the one to be contacted on during your stay)
- Your exact travel dates (arrival/outbound & departure/inbound)
- Your EXACT FLIGHT ARRIVAL TIME (or train arrival time)
- Your flight arrival number/departure airport (or train station)
- The name & exact address of your accommodation.
- Your EXACT FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIME (or train departure time)
- Any additional details - child booster/baby seats & other special needs.
- Confirmation that you are NOT travelling within 72hours of your booking.
- Confirmation that you ARE travelling between 19.12.09 and 18.12.10.
Without all of these details it may not be possible to honour your transfer(s) and you may be subjected to charges. 6) Change of Details: Party leader needs to inform PowderCab of any change of details ASAP: - preferably via email 48hours before the transfer. - after this period by telephone (preferably between 09:00-17:00). These changes need to be confirmed by PowderCab to ensure availability/document change. 7) Phone/Text Bookings: Where a booking is made by phone or text the booking is subject to PowderCabs’ terms and conditions. The client making the booking by call or text accepts PowderCabs' terms and conditions and will be deemed the party leader. The party leader also accepts terms and conditions on behalf of each party member. 8) Confirmation/Ticket: Party leader must print out confirmation email and bring it as your ticket to ride. It is the party leaders responsibility to write the full names of everyone travelling in your party on this ticket and hand it to your driver. 9) Shared transfers: The nature of shared transfers means that you may (or may not) be sharing a transfer vehicle with other clients arriving (or departing) on a flight scheduled to arrive (or depart) on or around the same time as yours (with a maximum of 45 minutes between scheduled flight arrival (or departure) times). If the other shared clients’ flight is delayed you may have to wait until they land unless another scheduled shared transfer is available. Similarly if your flight is delayed other clients may have to wait for you. You may be sharing your transfer with clients who are staying in different resorts which we would pass through en route; for example, we pass through Les Gets to get to Morzine so we would of course drop the Les Gets clients off first (or vice versa on a return trip). Occasionally we may have to visit other resorts en route and we aim for a maximum of 20minutes detour; an example of this would be having Morzine clients onboard and either Morillon (4miles off our usual route) clients onboard or Samoens (7miles off our usual route) clients onboard. In any case we always try to be as efficient as possible to avoid upset. This is a rare occurrence and clients must understand that this is a way to keep our costs low to you on the shared option. 10) Private transfers: The nature of private transfers means that your party have the sole occupancy of the vehicle as passengers. 11) Flight Delays: If a flight is delayed, PowderCab will wait at the airport where possible (40minutes on shared transfers and 1hour on private transfers) without extra payment due. After this time a charge of 15Euros per hour or part thereof is required. If, due to time constraints (other bookings or factors out of PowderCab’s control), and the driver cannot wait for the delayed flight, PowderCab will try to assist the party leader with their onward journey on the next available transfer. If PowderCab cannot assist they will make alternative arrangements and subcontract to other recommended service providers. However any extra costs will be the responsibility of the party leader. Flight delays are difficult for all parties concerned so communication is key between party leader and PowderCab to ease these situations.* One simple flight delay can disrupt PowderCabs daily schedule so please be understanding of this. 12) Delays/missed return flights: Delays can occur for a number of reasons that are out of PowderCabs’ control such as severe weather conditions, natural disasters, heavy traffic, road accidents, police directives, restricted vehicular access, other customers actions, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, war (this list is not exhaustive). Compensation will not be issued for return services that are missed if circumstances are out of PowderCabs’ control. If PowderCab is unable to honour the booking due to circumstances within their control alternative transport will be arranged where possible to their ticketed destination, and compensation will be strictly limited to this alternative travel arrangement. 13) Flight Cancellations: If your flight is cancelled it is the party leaders' responsibility to contact PowderCab immediately and we will do our utmost to reschedule the transfer where possible. In the event that the driver has already departed for the airport before the cancellation notification has been received, any money paid cannot be refunded and the re-scheduled transfer will need to be paid in full. If possible, PowderCab will help the client with documentation for an insurance claim. 14) Flexibility of Pick Up Time/Place: PowderCab will be responsible for scheduling all transfers. Requests for specific times/places can be made and will be dealt with on a case by case basis but the final decision rests with PowderCab. As a general rule and for example from Morzine to Geneva we like to leave between 3 and 4 hours before your flight departure time (our preferred time is 3.5hours from Morzine), and from Avoriaz to Geneva we like to leave between 3.5 and 4.5 hours before your flight departure time (our preferred time is 4 hours from Avoriaz). These times can change for a number of factors including, weather, road, traffic, time of day, other clients flights, our daily schedule etc 15) Luggage. PowderCab does not charge for carrying ski luggage. Clients are restricted to one piece of luggage, one ski/snowboard bag, and one piece of hand luggage. Clients bringing unusual or oversized luggage should inform PowderCab at the time of booking and maybe subject to a surcharge. Clients must be reasonable with the size of the luggage they bring as other clients will also have luggage. Each client is responsible for his or her own luggage during loading, transport and unloading and PowderCab cannot be held responsible for any lost, damaged or left luggage. 16) Sub-Contracting: Very occasionally PowderCab may have to sub contract business to other local and trusted transport operators (you will not be charged extra for this). This may be for a number of issues, including our aim to reduce our environmental impact, to help keep costs down for our customers, our availability etc. Our constant fight for improved safety in the Alps means we only subcontract to companies who are also fully licensed and insured, driven in safe vehicles and driven by trained alpine drivers. If PowderCab do not have availability and we cannot sub-contract your transfer we will be refunded in full. 17) Client conduct. PowderCab clients getting into or out of a PowderCab vehicle are not insured and particular care must be taken when doing so (especially when exiting the vehicle as there maybe snow, ice, uneven ground or other things to trip or fall on/from). In order to be insured all clients must wear a seatbelt when being driven in PowderCab vehicles.
