You can pay over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard and we send you payment instructions on how to do this once you have made an enquiry with us. We run a fleet of fully licensed and fully insured new 8-seater minibuses and people carriers, some of which are equipped with PlayStation2’s (for DVD’s and gaming), i-trips/plug in points for MP3 players. To help with your comfort and safety each vehicle is fully fitted with seat belts, snow-tyres and snow-chains, and is long wheel-based giving you extra luggage space. We also provide child booster and baby seats free of charge upon request, please see the ‘Children/young people’ section below. Shared or Private? Shared transfers by their nature may involve you sharing transfers with other clients who have similar flight times as yourselves. Some flexibility from both parties may be needed. Private transfers ensure that only you and your party are on the transfer, and ensure you’re not waiting for that ‘one last passenger’.
Recognising your trained PowderCab driver at Arrivals? At the airport (Geneva) your driver will be wearing a black and yellow PowderCab uniform (look out for the yellow cab logo on it) and holding a black PowderCab sign with your (and possibly others) party leaders’ name on it. When you have collected your luggage you will come through to the main arrivals area where you will see your driver. During busy periods, to avoid the crowds, please make your way to the ‘HUB CAFE’ - turn immediately left as soon as you come through the doors from Luggage collection into arrivals. For other airports (Chambery, Grenoble, Lyon) you will be met at the main public area in arrivals. Length of transfer? This depends on your airport and resort. Between our main routes of Morzine and Geneva the transfer is about 1hour and 15 minutes (Les Gets about 1hr 10mins, Avoriaz 1hr 40mins, St Jean d’Aulps 1hr 20mins, Montriond 1hr 15mins). From Chambery airport it’s a further half an hours drive (each way), and to other resorts please contact us for information. Journey times can be affected significantly by traffic and weather conditions, road conditions, police directives/ diversions, natural disasters etc. Tips? If you feel Powdercab has given you a good service and have had a safe and enjoyable transfer then please feel free to tip your driver. What about day trips with PowderCab? If you (and your party) fancy a day's skiing or snowboarding (or shopping!!) in Chamonix or Flaine or even a shopping trip to Annecy or Evian we will be happy to discuss these ideas on an individual basis (this of course depends on our availability). Children/young people. Children are more than welcome to jump on board and we can provide child booster cushions and baby seats free of charge upon request. Please feel free to bring your own if you so wish. As youngsters take up one passenger seat then unfortunately we cannot offer child discounts. Children aged 3 years or over who are under 150cms in height and weighing less than 36 kilograms (i.e. generally children up to 11/12 years old) must use the correct child seat or booster cushion when travelling in passenger vehicles.
